With men, actions speak louder than words. So for women, understanding men’s body language can at times be just as significant as understanding what they are telling you verbally.
With that being said, here are 6 dead giveaways that his body language is telling you.
1. First date: He isn’t focused: He’s just not that into you.
If a man keeps checking his phone constantly or shifting his eyes to look over your shoulder during your first date, then it is quite possible that he is not as interested in you as you might think.
Plain and simple: Distraction is a sign of disinterest.
So even if he tells you he’s interested, you can rest assured that he is more concerned with a call he is expecting or his Facebook notifications.
2. First meeting: He lifts then lowers his eyebrows: You just caught my eye.
When a man sees a woman he’s into, he’ll quickly lift and lower his eyebrows, wrinkling his forehead in the process. This happens subconsciously and very quickly, so you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled.
Anthropologists call it the eyebrow flash because it’s lightning-quick.
Fact: The Japanese suppress this eyebrow flash, viewing it as indecent.
3. He has his arms crossed or he’s tapping his index finger on the table: He disagrees… Silently…
These two body language cues suggest a defiant attitude. Therefore, if you notice these things while you talk, even if he’s agreeing with you verbally he probably disagrees mentally.
4. He blinks or blushes: He’s into you more than he’s comfortable with.
Blinking frequently is a foolproof sign that he is very much interested in you, and blushing is his way of expressing that he’s a bit embarrassed that he likes you so much so soon!
5. He’s slouching: He had a tough day and doesn’t want to talk about it.
If he appears hunched over or slouched, it may be a sign that his day at work didn’t go well, or he feels guilty for something that transpired earlier in the day. In most cases, men don’t like sharing stories that might make them appear foolish or weak.
Therefore, he might be reluctant to open up. However, if he does, this is a surefire sign that he trust and cares about you deeply.
6. He mimics you: I’m in love or falling in love with you.
If you notice he synchronizes his steps or food bites with yours, or if he wears t-shirts with the same color as your shirt or dress when going out together, he is definitely mirroring your behavior.
